Programs & Partnerships

The Wisdom Family Foundation leads a series of programs to connect children and families to immediate resources and build a spirit of generosity within communities. WFF operates primarily in the Greater Chicago, Northern Wisconsin and Twin Cities areas. International giving takes place through I CAN, a sister non-profit to the Wisdom Family Foundation.

  • Wisdom Family Foundation is a longtime sponsor of the Boys & Girls Club of Elgin, providing a lead $1 million gift toward the South Elgin Clubhouse capital campaign, as well as ongoing operating support.

  • Every summer, the Northern Wisconsin chapter partners with Wisdom Woods and the St. Frances De Sales school in Spooner, Wisconsin to teach youth about planting, tending a garden, composting and selling produce. Proceeds from produce sales and additional grants from the Wisdom Family Foundation have contributed to technology purchases, a new kindergarten classroom and other capital improvements on school grounds.

  • During the Christmas season, our Greater Chicago and Twin Cities chapters fund holiday meals for families in need. We also pair donors with families to provide gifts and help make the holiday season more memorable.

  • Wisdom Family Foundation is a lead donor and key partner of Fostering Success and the I CAN Foundation. The organizations prepare young people for adulthood by connecting them with mentors and developing life skills, either locally or at sea!.

  • And in 2020, we launched the COVID-19 Meal Initiative to donate meals to families and first responders affected by the global pandemic.
